OUR STORY
Tellus has been training dogs for over 30 years, focusing on hunting retrievers for the past 21 years. He is no longer training dogs for clients. Tellus remains an active member of the Hevi-Shot Pro Staff, Dogtra Pro Staff, Avery Sporting Dog Pro Staff, Yeti Pro Staff and Precision Calls Pro Staff. He has run dogs in competition venues including the Super Retriever Series, Master National, hunt tests and field trials. Tellus also is a licensed AKC field trial and hunt test judge. He was one of the judges for the 2015 Master National.
On occasion, Tellus conducts training seminars and continues to focus on the Youth Hunting Program. Contact us for information.
Tracy continues to focus on being the Puppy Wrangler. When she isn't playing with puppies, pretending to play dog trainer or working on the website, she is busy seeing hospice patients at the Samaritan Hospice House, where JJ, Hospice Therapy Dog, joined her for six years before she died. Tracy also is involved with therapy visits through Project Canine and is working on expanding the local availability of HOPE Animal Assisted Crisis Response teams in Oregon. While we are asked if we train therapy dogs to sell, we do not do this, but can direct you toward groups that can teach you what is involved with training your own puppy/dog.
In 2016, Tracy was approached to write a book of stories involving JJ, her hospice work, and her day to day life. "JJ's Journey" was released October 2017.
